I am back in Singapore. Before this trip to Bali, i really felt really tired in life. I decided to find myself somewhere and the best place i can think of is Bali.

This trip gave me an appetite in life. "When the water meets the sky, where you heart is free and hope comes back to life." I found that there's really a place for everyone. It’s really not a journey, it’s a life-altering experience in Bali.

I have not given myself a breather to deal with myself. I still haven't find myself but atleast this trip gave me something in life, Faith.

Finally, my dream is fulfilled to canter one-hand by the beach. Horse-Riding, Cantering is the best. It's funny how the trainer let me ride by my own, i trot,canter and if it wasn't for horses i would not be walking right now, love horses.

Vietnam, Pt 2

I wish i had more time in Vietnam but i am really busy with my work in Singapore. I was literally on my blackberry replying to emails and finishing up my work. Sure you can travel the world and have fun but never leave your work behind. Travel is temporary but work is more important. I must have an organizer be it on my blackberry that keeps me very organize and i learn to prioritize my time well. I guess some people should learn it aswell.

Anyways! The next day, we went to a the village area in Vietnam. We went to Chu Chi Tunnel which took 2hours by car from the city. Chu Chi Tunnel is one of the most famous battlegrounds in Vietnam during the war last time. Being adventurous, we entered the tunnel.. the tunnel is very small and is really dark. It was quite scary!

Went to Mekong Delta. The Mekong Delta has recently been dubbed as a 'biological treasure trove'. I've never seen a water village before and i find the trip very meaningful because i get to see the real life of the Vietnamese.

For dinner, we went to the best Seafood Restaurant in Vietnam, Marina.

The HR Director of KFC Vietnam helped my sis to get a personal tailor to make a traditional outfit called Ao dà. It is a Vietnamese national costume. The tailor did it in just less than 24 hours. Unbelievable! After, it was being delivered to the hotel room for fitting.

Vietnam, Pt 1

Woke up early for my flight, i was really excited for Vietnam. The flight took about 2hours. The driver took me straight to the hotel. I stayed at Sheraton Saigon, a very beautiful luxury and business hotel in Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC).

These pictures are not edited, i want people to see the raw travel pictures. I don't like to edit travel pictures.

After, went to a private art studio to meet Vietnam's famous Artist. He's painting is recognized to be Vietnam's best kept secret and he was very humble. Some of the painting was sold to China museum for thousands. Some of his painting takes as long as 10years and some only for 3days if the inspiration is there. How amazing... I appreciate art so much, that is why i was really looking forward for the private art studio.

Day 2:

More on sightseeing. Independence Palace and War Museum and more. We had our own personal tour guide for the entire trip. So chic.

The hat my sis is wearing is called, Nong La. We tried to make it fashionable..FAIL

Vietnamese food is very healthy.. VEGETABLES everywhere.. urghhh

I've been searching for this show everywhere, Milan, Paris, Hongkong and i can never find it in US 6.5. I was window shopping with my friend and when i came across this shoes, my heart stopped for a moment.

I still remember, Brad Goreski told me to buy the shoes in Florence when i met him. It is one of a kind.

I'm still considering whether i should spend 1.5k on the shoes. I really want it, it will be a great edition to my Prada Shoe collection.

But what im worried is, the colour that i want is a Spring/Summer 2011. It might be too last season as we are now in 2012.

Les Amis is one of my sis's fav restaurant in Singapore. I've been wanting to dine in at Les Amis and as you know i'm a huge fan of fine-dining. Really, when my sis invited me to have dinner with her at Les Amis i was beyond thrilled! Being a regular guest at Les Amis, my sis treated us with the most amazing finest french food in Singapore and their impeccable service.

The dinner was prepared specially by the Chef. Since my sis know the Chef personally, it was easier to change the menu to suit us. A beautiful Gourmet Menu was prepared just for us to know what i will be having next.

You know how big Les Amis Group is right? Canele.. and etc. I was blown away with the french atmosphere at Les Amis. I felt like i was in Paris, what's missing is the lights of Eiffel Tower.

Thank You for the amazing dinner. It was one of my best dinner. & thanks Jacq & Ella for joining!

So on Thursday, i decided to have breakfast with 2 of my friends at Saddle Club. I wanted to have breakfast at Marmalade Pantry at Saddle club but i forgot it was closed. So, we went to Riders Cafe which is just opposite to get some drinks.

It's funny how the place is still the same after 6 or 7 years? Gosh, i still rmb when i was only in elementary school.. i was sitting at the members lounge eating my McDonalds and at that time i was so obsessed with their Choco Milkshake.

It was an enjoyable morning.

Johor Premium Outlet (JPO)

I've finally got the time to blog about JPO.

So few days back i got the chance to visit Johor Premium Outlet in Malaysia. It was a long drive to the outlet but it was worth it. For those driving from Singapore, it is better to use a GPS and remember to take Tuas 2nd Link instead of woodlands.

I heard there will be 60 more stores opening next year, let's hope there will be more good stores :D.

The pricing is really affordable but still it is not as cheap as the outlet store in New York & London. I still think the mark-up price is a bit high which is a little bit disappointing. But hey, what do you expect?

& Yes, 99% of the shoppers are Singaporean.

Had my lunch at JPO's foodcourt, IT IS FREAKING CHEAP. Haha. Forget about the restaurants there, the foodcourt is amazing :D

It was really fun! Can't wait to visit JPO again!

I found love at National Library.

Singapore National Library has got to be the best Library in the world... lol. I was searching for Carine Roitfeld, Irreverent book everywhere, both in South Africa & Singapore. I wanted to buy it but i couldn't find the book!

So i told my friend Jacq about the book and she told me that one of the library in SG has it. So i went to do a search on the library comp and found out that Singapore National Library has it!! The book is not for loan but you can use it for reference, like read it in the library, photocopy and etc.

The book can be found at Level 8 at National Library.

Outstanding Broadway Musical: Wicked

If you know me very well, i am a huge fan of Wicked the musical. I was so excited when i got to know they're coming to Singapore few months back. Being the first few to watch Wicked in Singapore for their first weekend show, i was simply speechless with their brilliant performance as always.

I was blown away when they sang my fav song from the musical, Defying Gravity & For Good. It was not only the amazing set and costumes and incredible voices of the actors, but it was the connection I heard and saw in the story line. The underlying theme that the theatre piece was able to deliver so clearly by the actors… Bravo!

It was a sold out show (as predicted)! I feel that Marina Bay Sands theatre is a disappointment. Throughout the show, i felt like i'm in a school auditorium instead of a majestic theatre... seriously, i expected more.

Wicked musical is definitely the show to go. THANK GOD they're going to remove the Lion King musical very soon. Though, nothing beats the original casts like Idina Menzel & Kristin Chenoweth.

So what are you waiting for?? Go and get your tickets now!!! It's amazing.

After planning this xmas dinner for quite sometime, finally decided to do the Xmas Dinner at La Villa (Italian Restaurant), complete with decorations, professional photographers, DJ and etc.

It was really fun. Everything went well! Again, RED was the theme. (I kinda love red this year)

Everyone kept on asking me why is the dinner not during Christmas Week? Everyone will be too busy to even attend the Xmas Dinner by then.

For my 20th Birthday..

So last year, my dad promised me that he will buy me a REAL watch for my 20th Bday. I thought he was just joking but knowing my Dad, when he says he will buy for me means he will make the effort to buy it.

I love my family for always pampering me with gifts. Thank You.

So he bought me 2 watches, one with a leather strap (as requested) and the other is the chain for special events.

The one i adore so much is the leather strap watch. It is Tag Heuer CARRERA calibre 6, 18 CT Gold. Which means, the numbers and bezel is all made of Gold. How chic is that? I'm sure my dad paid thousands for this watch and i really appreciate it.

I love how shes being herself with no special effects or whatsoever.

Chasing Pavements is probably the first song i listened few years back and i was so obsessed with it at that time.

Golfing

Decided to play golf with my sis today. Talked about almost everything while we golf and spent some quality time together in our fav Golf Club.

Blessings in a Backpack

My internship at South Africa was an incredibly unique experience and I am
so glad to have found such a place to spend my last ten weeks.

Personally along with professionally, this internship really helped me in becoming
a better advocate for myself. There were occasionally situations I found myself in, where I had to speak for myself if I wasn’t comfortable, and be more confrontational then I am used to.

My impression of South Africa changed over the course of my time here
significantly.I have gained such an incredibly different perspective on the world after living and working here.

I was able to take the time, and ask myself what I wanted to do personally and professionally in the next chapter of my life. The work here was so dynamic, and I gained so many new tools that I will be able to carry with me in my next endeavors.

The people and friends I met and worked with, the Africans who were so welcoming to me, and all of the managers and supervisors who taught me how to be gracious, welcome people with open arms, and not pass any judgments.

I’m eternally grateful for all the people I’ve met and all the opportunities I’ve been given, especially my family who made it possible, my friends & just everyone who made it possible for me. Thank You.

No, Nandos is not from India or Australia or anywhere, it's from South Africa. It originated from here, SA.

Nando's operates in thirty countries on five continents. Nando's specializes in chicken dishes with either lemon and herb, medium, hot, extra hot or extra extra hot Peri-Peri marinades. True bliss :)

This will be my last lunch with the people here :(. We've became close throughout my 2months in South Africa. I'm sure i will miss them when i leave this Saturday.... oh wait i might come back for vacation next year! Who knows?

And no i'm not paying for such a ridiculous price in SG for a plate of chicken. I love the price of Nandos here, it's like buying a McDonald meal!

This is probably one of my best purchases from Africa! I bought this beautiful stones for a good price. It is very shiny and heavy too.. I treat it like a stone of my heart. How cool is that!

The guy told me that each stone is different, most of them is hand-crafted/painted just like the ostrich eggs. I wanted to buy the ostrich eggs but decided not too, bought shoes instead...

Johor Premium Outlet Grand opening on Dec 11

I am beyond excited, i've waited for like a year or so when they announced that Malaysia will open its first Premium Outlet. I've been to the New York outlet and London's outlet and i am thrilled that it's going to be as near to Singapore!

Everyone knows that the Premium outlet was created to create jobs and boost up tourism in Malaysia. But really, i think the real reason why it was created so that it can stop the counterfeiting rate in Malaysia.

As a student studying in Retail Mgt, i have to study about Shopping Malls, outlet malls, target segmentation and etc. It is basically what i have to know. However, that's not the point.

Johor Premium Outlets is located at the intersection of the North-South Expressway and the Second Link Expressway near Johor Bahru, Malaysia. It is a short drive from Singapore, about an hour drive or so.

Popular international brands like Coach, DKNY, Burberry, Polo Ralph Lauren, Salvatore Ferragamo, GAP, Timberland, Nike, Emporio Armani, Guess, Levi's and Tumi (to name a few) are expected to have a presence in "JPO" (so not glamorous) AHA

Yeah.. most of you might say that it is doesn't look cool or what to go to an Outlet Mall. Really, this outlet mall is TO DIE FOR. Ok maybe not this one, the NYC Woodbury is TDF. Still, its pretty much the same.

Im 100% sure that most of the shopper will come from Singapore. I can stay at my aunt & bestfriend house in Johor! How cool.

Can you believe it, in exactly 10 days i will be flying back to Singapore to finish up everything. I'm quite sad to leave this place but hey life goes on right?

I'm actually very excited to go back to SG, i have a thousand things to do when i get back. I have my wicked musical to attend, xmas party, golf&horse riding + shopping with sis, lunch/dinner with my best-friends, i miss driving my car and of course my amazing closet. Aha :) Im really looking forward to it!

Still, South Africa has been nothing but amazing, i found some pictures in my digital camera and i can't wait to have my last dinner with the people here next week.

When i got to know that La prairie is better than La mer, i went to google it and wow, it is really amazing! I think i'm obsessed with their products. What i like about the product is, it is very natural and they use caviar as part of their skincare product.

I told myself the last thing i want to do before i leave South Africa is to help in anyways the African kids. So my friend Cheryl, introduced me to this helping out with the African kids to put some happiness in their lives.

Oh yeah these enormous Jacaranda trees here is really beautiful!

Basically they took pictures of the kids and their parents, which most of them have never seen their pictures before. Cheryl told me that they really feel very happy when they get their pictures taken.

I find it really meaningful for me to do this while i'm still in Africa.

Finally i'm back in Johannesburg, SA after spending more than 2 weeks in Capetown. Decided to go riding in Joburg today. I went to Byerly Stable which is a 15mins drive from where i stay. I went there with Cheryl & Willie, yeap just the 3 of us.

I don't know why but everytime i ride a horse i feel very free. It's like i'm going closer to the wind, and I can run free too. All I want is the wind in my hair
To face the fear but not feel scared in life..

Last weekend in Capetown

Can you believe it? 2 weeks in Capetown,SA is now over. In less than 12 hours i will be flying back to Johannesburg. My time here in Capetown has been amazing. Jessie, my manager/friend been really kind to me. I really appreciate it very much.

I feel really sad to leave. So here are some of my pictures i took during my roadtrip to Hermanus, it's a 2hours drive out of Capetown. That's is the best place to watch wild whales in the ocean!

Jessie was too tired to drive, so i took over during the return trip. I can't believe i drove for about 100km, up the mountains, by the ocean pretty much everywhere lol! It was fun.

After, went back to the same place for hi-tea at The Twelve Apostles Hotel to catch the sunset. This is where we started 2 weeks ago and this is where we ended it. How lovely. <3 We played chess for 2hours lol!

OMG. Scotts Square mall is built for me. No really, everything about this mall i love, oh wait its TO DIE FOR. I cant wait to see you (the mall) and i am going to do some serious shopping when i'm back! If you put Hermes & On Pedder together i'll go crazy.

Hello November!

Lol! I was watching this music video (Coldplay - Paradise) and i was like huh? Isn't that 'table mountain' in the video? I noticed it because every single day i will see the mountain while on my way to work in the car.

I went to google it to be sure and guess what? Im right!

This video was directed by Mat Whitecross in 2011 and was filmed in South Africa, Capetown and London. Shot in and around Cape Town and the Klein Karoo, the Mat Whitecross directed music video sees Chris Martin dressed in an elephant costume and escaping from a zoo in London because he so misses the rest of Coldplay. Chris Martin uses various modes of transportation including a unicycle until he finds his way to “Paradise” right here in Cape Town with his fellow band mates.

I feel its a beautiful song. However i would have like this entire song to be slow and mellow and not suddenly turn into a dance tune. The place where this video was taken is in Xilitla, San Luis Potosi. The place was built by Sir Edwar James and it is really amazing. I want to visit this place.

Happy Halloween! I was not in the mood to play dress up for Halloween because i'm not in Johannesburg. Still, it's fun to see people dress up like Zombies in the mall. Oh, the people here are crazy! As in they will dress up and walk around in the mall! How chic.

P/S: I wanted to be Lady Gaga for halloween :). I wanted to do the Alexander Mcqueen outfit (turn it into a guy outfit) with Tom Ford Round Sunglass and a white wig and attend the Halloween parties in Singapore with my friends haha. Next year i guess!

Tragic News: Laduree Paris

I got an email from Laduree's website few hours ago stating there's a fire break out at their store in Champs Elysess. My sis and i were skyping about how we miss Paris, Laduree and our epic moments together.

Laduree Champs Elysees is the perfect place for my sis and i to have a real conversation. Just 2 adults talking with each other about life while enjoying our coffee & macarons. It's a special place for us.

This is really sad :(. I know there's other Laduree store but this particular Laduree has been an icon to everyone who visits Paris.

So today i met up with the PR Firm in Capetown, Vivid Luxury. They are the best Luxury PR Firm in South Africa. They're involved with numerous luxury brand like Gucci, Burberry, Bentley and more.

I'm really shocked that the company is involved with big events like the Veuve Clicquot Polo event in SA. I really love this event because of its prestige. I blogged about this event (Veuve Clicquot Los Angeles) last month.

Check out their super chic office, they have like this huge burberry poster. You know how im obsessed with Christopher Bailey's deisgns right? Ahh burberry is so amazing, that preppy London chic look. I LOVE.

I will be working with the PR Firm for 2 weeks to compute some PR Values for Gucci and etc. Its good that as a recognized international brand like Gucci they get free publicity through editorials.

Unfortunately there's no Vogue SA or Harpers SA. :( The PR firm works closely with Marie Claire SA which is one of the leading magazine in South Africa and GQ (Conde Nast Publications) which means theres a high chance they bring in Vogue SA and i can dream to be the editor chief of vogue SA.

Talking about Vogue, i can't wait to get my Vogue UK December Issue! Its a must. If you're nice you will buy me this and give it to me. :D

The legendary Crème that has inspired a cult following. I'm slowly changing all my facial products to La Mer. La Mer means the sea in french.

For the 30ml its about 150usd and it goes higher. I have wanted to try this product for years.Finally i took the plunge.Now i am also in the following. There is a great improvement in my skin. It is softer,the lines are much softer. I think this product makes your skin happy.

I'm planning to buy the entire collection. I'm obsessed. Aha

Road Trip to Cape of Good Hope

So today, Jessie brought us around in Capetown. Can't believe she got the energy and strength to drive us all the way to Cape of Good Hope it is 2hours drive and it is the most southern part of the world where you can see the oceans meet. The Atlantic Ocean on the west; the Indian Ocean on the east.

It took us 2 hours to drive up the mountain. We stopped for lunch, at the side of the road to take pictures, by the beach .. everywhere! Thank You jessie for being such an awesome friend. :D

We had to climb up, it took us 1hour to climb the mountain. It was really tiring, i felt very dehydrated, exhausted, and nearly died. When i reached the top, the view is beyond amazing. I was really speechless. This is the kind of thing that you only do once in your life and that's it.

Today, i took a morning flight (9am) from Johannesburg to Capetown. I've been waiting my entire life to go to Capetown. I heard wonderful and epic stories about it. Thankfully, i finally arrived to one of my "To-Go Destination in life".

It was a 3hours flight from Joburg to Capetown. Met up with Jessie, a new friend in Capetown, i'm staying at her beautiful apartment. She was really nice to pick us up from the airport.

Seriously, Capetown has to be the most beautiful city in the world. While on the plane, a lady beside me (psychologist) who i talked with throughout the flight said "once you pack your suitcase you never go back. The world is your oyster"..

After, I went to the Gucci store to do my project. Can i live in Capetown??, i want to drive a Lexus Convertible and own a huge house at the top of the mountain. What a dream.

So while we were in the car, on the way up the mountain, we decided to stop at the side of the road to take a look at the Million Dollar View. I was blown away. The view was incredible and stunning.

So after, Jessie brought us to this fab hotel to have Alfresco Hi-Tea with the 3 tier with the best view for the sunset. How chic is that??

If you can bring me to an alfreso dining with hi-tea and all, you'll be my bestfriend.

Capetown is definitely the place to go for honeymoon,vacation or whatever! My dream is to try Shark Cage Diving. I will visit capetown again to do all this "dangerous & highly expensive activities"
